Fine Art & Illustration

A space for curiosity outside the product roadmap. From comics and travel writing to yoga, movement, and visual development, these projects keep me connected to observation, play, and the quieter parts of creativity that rarely fit neatly into product work.

Sketches, creature design, and illustration allow me to explore storytelling, and emotional expression more instinctively, while travel and movement ground the work in lived human experience.

In 2025, I donated my original paintings to help raise funds for a hospital in Milan, Italy.

The World Eater

A 12×12 digital painting exploring indulgence, appetite, and the quiet human tendency to consume without noticing the gravity of our impact until the world itself begins to bend around it.

The creature appears playful and almost innocent, clutching a glowing planet as though it were something sweet or endlessly renewable. Set against a cosmic backdrop, the piece reflects the tension between delight and excess, curiosity and consequence. Even destruction rarely begins with malice. More often, it begins with hunger large enough to pull entire systems into orbit.

Quiet Heat

A 12×12 digital painting exploring the kind of power that does not need to announce itself. Resting calmly within a lush tropical landscape, the Fire Lizard radiates a quiet confidence through color, posture, and presence rather than aggression.

Its bright scales and alert gaze suggest capability held in balance, a creature fully aware of its strength without needing to perform it. Illuminated softly beneath the moonlight, the piece reflects the tension between intensity and stillness, and the rare kind of presence that can remain calm without becoming passive.

Sweet Preserves

A 12×12 digital painting exploring the quiet human instinct to share what we love with others. Surrounded by cakes, pastries, and small celebrations, the chef becomes less about food itself and more about generosity, pride, ritual, and delight.

The piece reflects something deeply human: the joy of creating experiences that bring people together, even in simple forms. Color, abundance, and playful detail become a kind of emotional offering, where care is expressed through craft, celebration, and shared sweetness.

Minnow

A 12×12 digital painting exploring loneliness within a world designed to feel endlessly connected. Surrounded by discarded objects and the debris of consumption, Minnow wanders a tiny planet built from the things humans throw away while searching for something increasingly difficult to manufacture: genuine connection.

The piece reflects the strange contradiction of modern life. We are surrounded by products, notifications, and constant stimulation, yet many people feel more isolated than ever. Bright colors and playful forms soften the environment at first glance, but beneath the warmth sits a quieter question about what humans try to fill emotional emptiness with when community, belonging, and presence begin to disappear.

Minnow is not tragic. It is hopeful. Curious despite the world it inherited.

Sunbather

A 12×12 digital painting exploring the relationship between inner wellbeing and the environments humans create around themselves. Resting peacefully among desert plants and warm stone, the Jelly Lizard reflects a quieter truth: bodies and minds do not exist separately from the worlds they inhabit.

Its translucent skin absorbs the soft colors of the landscape around it, mirroring how humans are shaped by atmosphere, community, stress, nature, architecture, culture, and care. The piece serves as a reminder that resilience is rarely individual. Health is ecological.

The creature itself feels soft, slow, and entirely unashamed of stillness. A small study in safety, warmth, and the strange intelligence of simply existing where one can finally breathe.

A 12x12 inch digital painting of "George," a vibrant, leafy creature with an unmistakable sense of freedom. Once a humble houseplant, George is now thriving in the dense, lush jungle, surrounded by towering trees and dappled sunlight. His leaves collect the water as if embracing his wild, newfound home, exuding life and adventure.

12x12 inch digital painting capturing a tender moment: a little dragon taking its first flight. The dragon's expression blends excitement and curiosity, embodying the adventure of learning about the world.
